The digital broadcasting transmission apparatus includes: a turbo coder performing turbo coding on a transport stream (TS) a field sync signal generator inserting information for receiver demodulation into a reserved area of a field sync signal; and a multiplexer adding the field sync signal into which the information for receiver demodulation has been inserted and a segment sync signal to the turbo coded TS to form a data frame. Accordingly, a reception apparatus can precisely determine the information for receiver demodulation and thus provides an improved reception performance.
