A liquid crystal display according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a pixel electrode having first and second sub-pixel electrodes; a first thin film transistor connected to the first sub-pixel electrode; a second thin film transistor connected to the second sub-pixel electrode; a first data line connected to the first thin film transistor; a second data line connected to the second thin film transistor; a gate line connected to the first and second thin film transistors and intersecting the first and second data lines; and a blocking member overlapping at least one portion of the first sub-pixel electrode.
