The apparatus also includes a control unit that performs a control so that an operation mode is set to a button operation mode for performing the display operation of the images with a button operation of the input unit when a cursor on a display screen is in the specific area, and the operation mode is set to a cursor operation mode for performing the display operation of the images corresponding to at least a position on the display screen and a position of the cursor when the cursor is out of the specific area.
