An apparatus to manage an image file includes a sensor unit measuring at least one of the positions, directions, and angles of image files of objects that are captured, an extracting unit extracting at least one of information on locations where the image files of the objects are captured and information on the captured objects, in which the information corresponds to the measured information and a classifying unit giving names to the captured image files by using the extracted information.
