Upon receipt of the stop preparation information, the main control section 200 transmits a request to delete a printing request that has already been transmitted (step S310), and re-requests printing for a page corresponding to a sheet of paper that can be recovered by duplex printing (step S312). The engine control section 206 notifies, upon receipt of image data on the page for which the main control section 200 requests printing to complete the duplex printing (step S318), a user of a jam (step S319).
