Then, an operation portion is operated at a time of switching a photographing mode between a face detection photographing mode and an ordinary photographing mode. Interlockingly with operation with respect to the operation portion, a CPU switches between shifting to a color tone correcting mode that carries out correction of color tone defects in a case in which the color tone defects arise in pupil regions that are regions of pupils of a person in the subject of photographing expressed by the photographed image information, and reverting from the color tone correcting mode.
