The display device is achieved with a matrix of pixels. Each pixel comprises a plurality of sub-pixels that are organized within the pixel in one or two directions. Each sub-pixel comprises a color filter arranged facing a plurality of photo-emissive elements, an opaque area separating the color filters. In each of the organization directions of the pixel, the photo-emissive elements have a repetition pitch that is two times smaller than the pitch of the color filters. The size of each color filter is smaller than or equal to the size of the photo-emissive element in said direction. The device comprises a supply control circuit of the photo-emissive elements that comprises means for selecting the photo-emissive elements situated facing the color filter of each pixel.
