At step S13, recording of the content being currently played back is started with the standard time added to the content. At step S15, recording of real-time data of the user A and so forth is started with the standard time added to the real-time data. At step S17, recording of real-time data of the user X is started with the standard time added to the real-time data. At step S18, it is decided whether or not the setting for synthesis is changed, and if the setting is changed, then the synthesis information is re-produced and stored at step S19. The present invention can be applied, for example, to communication apparatus for communication between remote places.
