摘要：
The invention rates to a method and apparatus for producing a coal cake for coking, in which a bed (3) of coal is compacted in a mould (2) by pulses of hammers (19) which act on the bed, and is solidified to form a block. In accordance with the invention the bed (3) is not only worked on in pulses by the hammers (19) but is also subjected to compression.
