According to the invention, a grab bar having a three dimensional shape provides a support for a shower head. A bracket that holds the shower head has a pair of arms or the like for gripping the grab bar. The bracket slideably engages the grab bar so the shower head may be positioned as desired by a user. According to an embodiment of the invention, a shower wall has an opening conforming to the shape of the grab bar.
