摘要：
A process for producing water-absorbing polymer particles by polymerizing droplets of a monomer solution in a surrounding gas phase, said monomer solution comprising at least one azo compound and at least one persulfate, the resulting polymer particles having a water content of at least 5% by weight, and being aftertreated thermally at a temperature of at least 100° C. for at least 5 minutes.
