A data structure, such as a business object, is monitored to detect changes. Upon detection of the changes, a push service is initiated. Thereafter, the push service packages determines if such changes are relevant, and if so, data characterizing the save event in a message in a predetermined format. The message is later transmitted to an output management module so that the output management module initiates delivery of a notification message to at least one predetermined recipient by a predetermined communication channel.
