An optical filter for a display having both excellent antiglare property and transparency, and a process for producing the optical filter are provided. The optical filter of the invention includes: a structure including a film and a mesh-shaped metal conductive layer provided on one surface of the film; and an antiglare layer provided on the one surface of the mesh-shaped metal conductive layer, the antiglare layer including a resin and fine particles dispersed in the resin, the fine particles protruding from the surface of the antiglare layer. In addition, the optical filter of the invention includes: a structure including a film and a mesh-shaped metal conductive layer provided on one surface of the film; a sealing layer for filling spaces of the mesh defined by the mesh-shaped metal conductive layer, the sealing layer being provided on the one surface of the mesh-shaped metal conductive layer; and an antiglare layer provided on the sealing layer, the antiglare layer including a resin and fine particles dispersed in the resin, the fine particles protruding from the surface of the antiglare layer.
