The invention, in one aspect, is a copolymer comprising amorphous polyamide hard segments, which contain 1-methyl-2,4-phenylene, 1-methyl-2,6-phenylene, or mixtures thereof structure units. The structure characteristics of 1-methyl-2,4-phenylene, 1-methyl-2,6-phenylene, or mixtures thereof render the hard segments having glass transition temperatures below 200° C. while maintaining physical properties required for making molded articles.
