In order to provide a paging service to a terminal in a wireless communication system in which a macrocell base station and a femtocell base station coexist, the femtocell base station receives a deregistration request message from the terminal, and checks whether the femtocell base station can provide a paging service to the terminal. When failing to provide a paging service to the terminal, the femtocell base station receives paging service information from a paging controller, includes paging service information in a deregistration confirmation message, and transmits it to the terminal, and the macrocell base station provides a paging service to the terminal.
