After receiving (401) one or more commands from the network node, to perform random access procedure, the user equipment performs one or more attempts to initiate random access procedure by sending (402) one or more access request messages to the network node as a response to the received command. When no response to the sent access request message is received from the network node within a predetermined threshold value, the user equipment declares (406) failure of the wireless connection.
