The transfer characteristic variation detector is configured to detect a variation in transfer characteristic between the road surface input detector and the error detector. The update amount controller is configured to increase an amount of updating of a filter coefficient to a value greater than a value that is used in a normal mode in accordance with the variation in transfer characteristic detected by the transfer characteristic variation detector.
