A neutral automatic dishwashing detergent composition comprising an acidifying particle comprising an aminocarboxylic builder wherein the acidifying particle has a low hygroscopicity, a cake strength of at most 20 N and a pH of from about 2 to about 6 as measured in 1% aqueous solution at 20° C.
