A BD player (13) that is a reproduction apparatus includes: a control command processing unit (13b) that is a selecting unit which obtains a priority indicating a priority order of each of a TV (11) and a projector (12) that are a plurality of display apparatuses, to display content, from a corresponding one of the TV (11) and the projector (12) via a communication network, and selects a display apparatus which holds a highest priority from among the TV (11) and the projector (12); and a content transmitting unit (13c) which transmits the content to the display apparatus selected by the control command processing unit (13b).
