According to one embodiment, there is provided an information output control apparatus, including: a reception module configured to receive a 3D or 2D video signal; a video processor configured to output a 3D or 2D video signal, based on the received video signal; an indicator configured to be turned on/off; and a controller configured to control lighting/non-lighting of the indicator, wherein the video processor includes a conversion module configured to perform a conversion processing to convert the received 3D video signal into the 2D video signal, and wherein the controller controls the lighting/non-lighting of the indicator in accordance with an operating state of the video processor to thereby indicate whether the conversion processing is being performed or not.
