One example method includes authorizing, by a number of participants, a query service having specified data inputs and outputs, the query service comprising a group of queries [703]. One or more models are configured, by the number of participants, to constrain the group of queries to restricted portions of a plurality of communicatively coupled participant data sources [709]. An automated data discovery service is to authorized by the number of participants [711], and the discovery service is invoked by the number of participants to execute the group of queries subject to constraints of the configured models to obtain discovered information [713].
