An injector (101) for injecting a sample into a chromatography column (161) comprises a sample inlet (105) for feeding the sample into the injector (101), an injection chamber (107) comprises a packing (119) for separating the sample into components thereof, and a first sample outlet (109) intended to be in fluid communication with the chromatography column (161). The injector (101) may be used in a chromatography system (159) for analyzing a sample.
