A liquid crystal display including a gate line electrically connected to first and second sub-pixel electrodes of a pixel electrode, a data line electrically connected to the first and second sub-pixel electrodes, a first storage electrode line having a first storage electrode overlapped with the first sub-pixel electrode, wherein a first storage voltage is applied to the first storage electrode line as a cyclic signal; and a second storage electrode line having a second storage electrode overlapped with the second sub-pixel electrode, wherein a second storage electrode voltage opposite in phase to the first storage electrode voltage is applied to the second storage electrode line as a cyclic signal, and the pixel electrode includes a first side parallel to the gate line and a second side parallel to the data line, a length of the second side is less than a length of the first side.
