The ink includes a carrier fluid; an encapsulated metallic pigment particle further including a metallic pigment particle and a polymer, wherein the polymer covers between 70% and 100%, inclusive, of the surface area of the metallic pigment particle and wherein the morphology of the metallic pigment particle by itself is substantially the same as the morphology of the metallic pigment particle covered by the polymer; and a polymer resin.
