The positive electrode includes a positive-electrode current collector, and a positive-electrode mixture layer formed on at least one of the surfaces of the positive-electrode current collector, wherein the positive-electrode mixture layer contains a positive electrode active material, a binder, a conductive agent, and at least one compound selected from the compound group consisting of rare earth acetic acid compounds, rare earth nitric acid compounds, and rare earth sulfuric acid compounds.
