The active material of the present invention includes LiVOPO4 and one or more metal elements selected from the group consisting of Al, Nb, Ag, Mg, Mn, Fe, Zr, Na, K, B, Cr, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Si, Be, Ti, and Mo.
