The device includes: a display; a storage configured to store a plurality of contents; an inputter configured to receive a user answer to a question displayed on the display for searching for content stored in the storage; and a controller configured to determine, based on the plurality of contents, the question, output, through the display, the determined question, determine, based on the user answer to the output question, a criterion for searching for content, and output, through the display, a search result searched based on the criterion.
