The output signal includes the image signal. A period when the input signal corresponds to a static image includes one or more frame partially-masked periods. During a first time interval of the frame partially-masked period, the image signal of the output signal is not masked but output by the signal output unit. During a second time interval of the frame partially-masked period, the image signal of the output signal is masked but not output by the signal output unit.
