摘要:
The present invention relates methods and compositions for producing an organic substance from fermenting microorganism using simultaneous saccharification and fermentation. One aspect of the invention provides producing alcohol by simultaneous saccharification and fermentation by combining a cellulosic substrate, and whole fermentation broth, and an ethanologenic microorganism under conditions conducive both to hydrolysis of cellulose to glucose and to conversion of glucose to alcohol.
