The contact beam can be elastically flexible from an initial position whereby the spring assist member is spaced from the contact beam in the upward direction, to a deflected position whereby the contact beam abuts the spring assist member. The electrical is suited for assembly into a connector assembly which includes and inner core and an outer housing.
