The energy-efficiency of a touch sensitive device may be improved by dynamically adjusting the function of the touch sensitive surface in real-time based on contextual information such as expected QoS, expected user input in defined regions-of-interest of the touch sensitive surface, and usage modalities of the touch sensitive device.
