The terminal device is configured to transmit, via the wireless interface, a message to at least one other terminal. The message includes configuration information related to a relay function of the terminal device. The terminal device is configured to activate the relay function to start relaying communication between a requesting terminal of the at least one other terminal and the radio access network after transmission of the message.
