The method for performing a rendering process of a rendering system includes generating a primary ray to render an image, determining whether the primary ray is capable of generating at least one secondary ray, storing information on the primary ray in a reference memory in response to determining that the primary ray is capable of generating the at least one secondary ray; and generating the at least one secondary ray based on the stored information on the primary ray.
