The apparatus includes a communication unit configured to perform communication with another network entity and a control unit configured to receive a playback request message for content from a terminal through the communication unit, transmit a request for a playlist including information of at least one bandwidth capable of playing the content to a server, receive the playlist from the server through the communication unit, revise the received playlist based on information of an available network bandwidth, and transmit the revised playlist to the terminal through the communication unit.
