The invention describes a bone cement with antimycotic efficacy based on organic polymers, such as polymethylmethacrylate. The bone cement comprises an antimycotic agent, in particular amphotericin B, that is released from the polymerised bone cement in the presence of water or aqueous media, such as body fluids. According to one alternative, the antimycotic agent is present in particulate form and is encapsulated, at least in part, by a mixture of at least one 1-methylamino-1-deoxy sugar alcohol and at least one fatty acid. In addition, a method for the production of a mixture comprising an antimycotic agent, such as amphotericin B particles, and 1-methylamino-1-deoxy sugar alcohol and at least one fatty acid is proposed. Preferably, the antimycotic agent is encapsulated, at least partially, by 1-methylamino-1-deoxy sugar alcohol and at least one fatty acid.
