A method performed by an electronic device including a processor may include: identifying an attribute of content of a 2D format to be provided by an electronic device by the electronic device including a processor; providing a first content of a first virtual reality format corresponding to the content using the processor when the attribute is a first attribute; and providing a second content of a second virtual reality format corresponding to the content by using the processor when the attribute is a second attribute.
