The active compound compositions of this invention are used against mosquitos and bed bugs which transmit disease pathogens or which annoy the well-being of humans and animals. The active compound compositions of this invention are in particular useful to overcome target-specific and/or metabolic-specific resistance of mosquitos and bed bugs and are biologically efficient on a variety of surfaces over an extended period of time.
