A wavelength conversion member includes: a wavelength conversion layer including at least one kind of quantum dots and a gettering agent, the quantum dots being excited by excitation light to emit fluorescence, and the gettering agent trapping at least one of water or oxygen; and a barrier layer having a moisture permeability of 0.1 g/(m2·day·atm) or lower that is formed on at least one surface of the wavelength conversion layer. The wavelength conversion layer is a layer obtained by curing a polymerizable composition including the quantum dots and the gettering agent.
