The power transmission device includes: a power transmission circuit; a first power transmission coil that transmits the power by a first transmission method using an electric signal generated by the power transmission circuit; a second power transmission coil that transmits the power by a second transmission method using the electric signal; a first power transmission coil position moving unit that moves a position of the first power transmission coil in a direction perpendicular to a coil surface; and a control unit that controls the first power transmission coil position moving unit to move the first power transmission coil in a direction away from the power receiving device, in a case where the power transmission circuit generates the electric signal so as to transmit the power from the second power transmission coil.
