The techniques for configuring channel state information (CSI) process for a coordinated set of transmission reception points may include receiving a sounding reference signal (SRS) and identifying, based at least in part on the SRS, a first CoMP set of TRPs. The techniques for configuring channel state information (CSI) process for a coordinated set of transmission reception points may also include transmitting a CSI-RS to a UE and receiving CSI from the UE. The techniques for configuring channel state information (CSI) process for a coordinated set of transmission reception points may further include identifying, based at least in part on the CSI, a second CoMP set of TRPs.
