The irradiation unit irradiates a tablet that moves in a housing with light. The image capture unit captures an image of the tablet being irradiated. The identification unit, on the basis of information representing a feature of a tablet surface obtained from a captured image obtained by means of the image capture unit, identifies the tablet of which an image has been captured. The output control unit outputs an image capture time, indicating the time of acquisition of the captured image, in association with the result of identification.
