The water purifier includes: a piping part configured to have a flow path between an inlet into which water is introduced and an outlet through which water is dispensed; a plurality of valves configured to be provided in the flow path of the piping part; and a processor configured to control to open at least one of the plurality of valves to perform a water dispensing operation of dispensing water through the outlet and control to open valves other than at least one of the plurality of valves to perform a recovery operation of reducing water pressure applied to the at least one valve.
