Disclosed herein is a film comprising at least one layer comprising polyethylene and a metal layer, wherein the film has less than 300 parts per million by weight (ppm) of metal stearate and less than 50 ppm stearic acid based on total weight of the film. Also disclosed herein is such a film comprising at least one layer comprising polyethylene and a metal layer wherein the metal layer of at least 38 dyne/cm one week after metallization. Also disclosed herein is an article comprising such a film laminated to a substrate.
