The sensor unit includes a motion sensor and a light source. The motion sensor is configured to execute a measurement operation and generate a measurement value indicating a measurement result. The light source is configured to generate light indicating the measurement operation at a timing that is synchronized with the measurement operation. The insertion unit includes an imaging device disposed at the distal end and configured to receive the light generated by the light source and generate an image.
