METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LIGHT-EMITTING DEVICE
Abstract:
A light-emitting device (1) is provided with, on a substrate (3), light-emitting elements (2R, 2G, 2B) each including a first electrode (4), a second electrode (12), and a quantum dot layer (8) interposed between the first electrode and the second electrode. The quantum dot layer is provided with quantum dots (20R, 20G, 20B) including cores (22R, 22G, 22B) and shells (24R, 24G, 24B) with which the cores are coated, and ligands (18R, 18G, 18B) to coordinate with the quantum dots. A step of forming the quantum dot layer includes a step of light irradiation configured to form an exposure region where, by the light irradiation using a photomask, the ligand melts and a solvent of a solution in which the ligand is dispersed vaporizes, and a non-exposure region at a position different from a position on which the light irradiation is performed.
