The second portion surrounds the first portion and has an upper surface forming a step with an upper surface of the first portion. The display device further includes: display elements located on the organic insulating layer in the display area; a partition wall located on the organic insulating layer in the intermediate area; and a filling material layer overlapping the transmission area.
