The subject invention further provides methods for treating, inhibiting and/or preventing malaria infection and transmission by using the fungal extracts, fungal metabolites, bioactive agents, and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the fungal extracts, fungal metabolites, and/or bioactive agent.
