Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, registering a user to participate in a virtual event; creating a user playlist for user participation in the virtual event, the user playlist including a sequence of segments to be presented to the user in an immersive experience of the virtual event; providing a segment of the sequence of segments to the user in the immersive experience; detecting a user response to the segment; and modifying the segment for future presentations of the segment, wherein the modifying is based on the user response to the segment.
