Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station associated with a first radio access technology (RAT), an indication to add a secondary cell associated with a second RAT in a dual connectivity mode. The UE may receive, by a lower layer of the UE from the secondary cell, an indication that a random access channel (RACH) procedure associated with the secondary cell is successful. The UE may transmit, by an upper layer of the UE to an application of the UE, information to cause an indication of the second RAT to be displayed by the UE based at least in part on a bearer type associated with a link with the secondary cell and the indication that the RACH procedure with the secondary cell is successful.
