Disclosed are a method and a device for same, the method comprising the steps of: acquiring, from a second terminal, a measurement value indicating the quality of a beam pair in which a sidelink signal is transmitted and received; and determining whether to perform a beam management operation for the beam pair on the basis of one or more thresholds and the measurement value, wherein each of the one or more thresholds may be set on the basis of at least one among mobility information about the first terminal, the relative speed of the first terminal with respect to the second terminal, the congestion level of a channel, and service characteristics related to the sidelink signal.
